Fat Loss: Week Four, Day One
Today I fell victim to the "Hey, I've made great fat loss progress, I can afford to eat something really bad" syndrome. Luckily I adjusted what I ate for the remainder of the day and only came in 200 calories over target.
I accompanied my daughter on a school field trip where we spent a couple of hours at a park. It was blazing hot in the sun, and when we got back to the school my vehicle was awfully hot as well. Both of us having eaten a healthy lunch, I figured I'd suprise her with a treat. We stopped at Costco and I ordered their chocolate dipped ice cream bar. These things are HUGE, but I figured what the heck and ordered one for each of us.
The extra calories were worth it just to see my daughter's eyes expand to the size of saucers.
Of course this was shortly after I had eaten a handful of almonds which contain about 350 calories.

Side note: I was really disgusted by what parents of most of the kids packed for their lunches. One kid did not have a single item that was not processed food, including candy. Another kid brought a big bag of potato chips and was going at it. I finally asked if his mom had packed a sandwich, and he said yes. So I told him to eat it. Of course he finished off his lunch with some sort of chocolate covered marshmallow thing and a drink with "10% real fruit juice".
Aaaarggh!!!!
Ok... As far as my workout...
Believe me, after yesterday's positive results progress-wise, I decided I was going to punish myself and try to burn off at least a few of those ice cream calories. This was the first time I've done more than one set of each exercise for every exercise, pausing no more than 15-30 seconds between sets.
5:30PM - Workout Duration: 18 minutes.
2 X 12 squats (54 lb kettlebell), 2 X 8 lateral side raises (18 lb KB), 2 X 30 swings, 2 X 30 around the body swings (36 lb KB), 2 X 12 two-handed swings (54 lb KB), 2 X 20 second side bridges (each side), 2 X 15 pushups.
Much gasping for breath ensued.
