Fat Loss: Week One, Day Four
Today there was no workout due to my epidural.
As far as food goes, it wasn't a terribly good day... starting with eating at Einstein Bagel and ending with a big bowl of popcorn. The former was due to not having eaten for about 16 hours and we stopped at the first relatively decent place we could find. The latter was basically due to my wanting some comfort food since I felt pretty out of it all day.
I still managed to come in only about 100 calories over my target for the day and this is not an excuse to derail the whole thing. Just consider it a blip on the screen and move on.

Vic,
Thanks for telling me about the blog.
I wanted to add to the disucssion by telling you that since reading your book, I have lost 7 lbs.
I think the key point for me was tracking what I eat. You had said that unless you track what you eat, you are not serious about loosing weight.
Once I started keeping track of calorie consumption, the weight finally started coming off.
My primary focus is mountain bike racing. I wanted to loose a 10 pounds to improve my power to weight ratio. I am closing in on my goal thanks to your advice.
Tom
I'm really happy to hear that my book helped you, Tom! Keep up the great work and progress.
Yup, at least initially, tracking what you eat is VERY important.
