Fat Loss: Week Three, Day Five
Today I'm trying a new format for the food journal... one that I can slap together quicker and is probably easier to read. Let me know what you think.
Today was a wierd day. I ate in the morning, but I got sidetracked this way and that throughout the day and didn't end up eating again until late afternoon. I'm not a handyman kind of guy, really. Any time I tackle a home project I have to make sure my wife and daughter aren't around because I get so bloody frustrated that the cuss words fly and I'm definitely no fun to be around.
I mention this because I tried to install one of those retractable screen doors and of course things didn't go right. By the end of it I had to re-order a part that I had bent, I was hot and sweaty, and my back was killing me. So I said the heck with it and had a beer and some chips and salsa. Generally I really try to look at food as fuel, but sometimes I just feel like a deserve a little something and I'm not going to beat myself up over it.
Later we went to a charity event at church and I had a small taco salad minus the deep fried shell, so despite my earlier indulgence I managed to stay way below my daily calorie target.
Today's workout was shorter than yesterday's but just as intense...
3:30PM
20 swings (54 lb kettlebell), 40 around the body swings, 30 alternating one-handed swings (36 lb KB), 10 one-handed swings (54 lb KB).
I wanted to see if I would be able to do some one-handed kettlebell swings and I did manage to crank out 10 total. That was rough, lemme tell ya. We'll see how I feel tomorrow.
