Fat Loss: Week Two, Day Four
For some reason I woke up hungry this morning. That rarely happens and I'm able to just get by with a couple of cups of coffee until 11AM or so. I didn't fight it though, I went ahead and had a light breakfast and that took care of things for me.
I was out and about mid-afternoon and did get a bit hungrier than I usually do, but when I got home I held myself back and just had an apple since I knew dinner would be on the way within an hour or so. Having had dinner, I saw that I was still under my calorie target by about 700 calories so I decided I could go ahead and splurge and relax with a brew. No harm in my opinion if it's just one and it fits within my daily plan.
Physically, my ankle is better but that last couple of mornings I've been waking with back pain before even getting out of bed (as was usually the case prior to my epidural injections). The thing is, it wasn't hurting last week, so I'm going to systematically remove exercises to try and figure out what's causing it. My first guess is the cat/camel, where you're on all fours and flexing your spine downward and upward. My spine seems to be very sensitive to movement. Today I left that exercise out... I'll see how I feel after a couple of days of not doing it.
On to today's workout...
11:15AM
- 10 crunches, 1 20 secon side bridge, 5 birddogs, 3 glute raises, 10, lunges, 10 offset-hand pushups. These were all for back strength.
- 6 curls, 6 military presses, 12 swings (36 lb kettlebell).
5:30PM
- 6 squats, 12 swings (54 lb kettlebell), 6 military presses, 4 curls (36 lb kettlebell), 8 tricep extensions (18 lb KB)
- 10 crunches, 12 pushups (feet elevated).
That's it! I want to point out that I've only been spending anywhere from 20-30 minutes a day exercising. That's not too much to ask, is it?
