Workout Change of Pace
Although kettlebells are awesome for strength building and fat burning, after a while it's my nature to get bored with things (except for my wife, of course).
So today I broke down and signed up with Gold's Gym. It's been a looooong time since I did any kind of standard bodybuilding type workout, so it'll be interesting to see how I do.
My wife has gone there with a friend on a guest pass a few times and really likes their "Body Pump" classes, so for our anniversary I thought I'd go ahead and get us a couple of memberships. Yeah, yeah I know... I'm a romantic.
She doesn't ask for a lot of stuff (as opposed to me, always sniffing around for the latest DVD or electronic gear), so I thought it was the least I could do.
I absolutely DESPISE their misleading marketing tactics, but they don't have a 24 Hour Fitness any closer than about 30 miles away, and I really need to get out of the house more, so I went ahead and signed up.
okay so I just bought the book and I'm going to start reading it tonight after work. I do cardio sporadically (three times a week or sometimes once a week)and almost no weight training due to a lower back injury but I really want to lose the weight. I'm actually at 132 and I'll take 122, but my goal is 118- hopefully here I can mark my progress. I've never done anything like this.
Hey, best of luck. I also suffer from back problems and depending of course on the severity of your problem, there are ways to lift weights that will not injure your back. For example using abdominal bracing techniques.

This is cool, you have to try it. I guessed 24238, and this game guessed it! See it here - http://www.funbrain.com/guess/
